Welcome to Urbano Tours. By booking and/or participating in any of our tours and activities (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read carefully before booking. If you need specific legal advice, consult a qualified attorney.
1. Booking & Payment
- Reservations may be made via our website, by phone, or by email.
- A deposit or full payment may be required to confirm your booking. Accepted payment methods will be shown during checkout.
- Final payment (when applicable) must be received according to the payment terms of the chosen rate.
2. Prices, Fees & Taxes
- All published prices are in the currency indicated (USD unless otherwise stated) and may include taxes and fees where specified.
- We reserve the right to correct pricing errors or adjust prices in the event of extraordinary increases in official fees or fuel costs, with prior notice where possible.
3. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure: full refund (unless a non-refundable deposit applies to the chosen rate).
- Cancellations within 24 hours of departure: generally non-refundable, except in cases of force majeure or at Urbano Tours’ discretion.
- No-shows are non-refundable.
- If Urbano Tours cancels the tour (e.g., due to unsafe weather or operational reasons), we will offer a rebooking or a full refund.
4. Changes by the Customer
- Requests to change dates or times are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Please request changes as early as possible.
5. Schedules, Meeting Points & Punctuality
- Exact meeting point and time are provided in your confirmation. Customers must arrive at the designated meeting point on time.
- Urbano Tours is not responsible for services missed due to customer lateness; no refunds will be issued for missed portions of a tour caused by late arrival.
6. Inclusions & Exclusions
- The itinerary and included services are stated on each individual tour page. Any item not explicitly listed as “included” is excluded and is the customer’s responsibility (e.g., gratuities, premium drinks, optional third-party activities).
7. Health, Safety & Fitness
- Customers must inform us at the time of booking of any medical conditions, pregnancy, allergies, or other limitations.
- Some tours involve natural terrain, boat transfers or other elements that carry inherent risks. Participation is voluntary and customers are responsible for their own safety.
- Urbano Tours reserves the right to refuse participation to any person whose condition poses a risk to themselves or the group.
8. Liability & Limitation of Liability
- Urbano Tours organizes and coordinates services provided directly and by third parties (transport operators, boat companies, local guides, restaurants, etc.). While we use reputable suppliers, we are not liable for failures, delays or damages caused by third-party providers.
- To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Urbano Tours’ total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid by the customer for the affected tour.
9. Luggage, Personal Belongings & Valuables
- Customers are responsible for their personal belongings. Urbano Tours is not liable for loss, damage or theft of personal items during the tour, except where caused by the operator’s proven negligence.
10. Travel Insurance
- We strongly recommend that customers obtain travel insurance covering medical expenses, accidents and activity-related risks. Some bookings may include basic insurance—please check your tour details.
11. Photography, Video & Marketing Use
- Tours may be photographed or recorded for promotional purposes. If you do not wish to appear in our promotional material, inform the guide before the tour begins.
- We appreciate social media shares; if you post images or videos, please tag @UrbanoToursRD when possible.
12. Force Majeure
- Urbano Tours will not be liable for failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (extreme weather, accidents, government restrictions, strikes, pandemics, etc.). In such cases we will seek to rebook or refund as appropriate.
13. Minors & Parental Responsibility
- Minors must be accompanied by a responsible adult. The accompanying adult guarantees that the minor is fit to participate in the activity.
14. Intellectual Property
- Website content (text, images, logos) is the property of Urbano Tours or its licensors. No reproduction is permitted without prior written consent.
15. Changes to These Terms
- We may update these Terms & Conditions; updates will be posted on the website. Confirmed bookings will be governed by the version applicable at the time of booking, except where changes are required by law or exceptional circumstances.
16. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Dominican Republic. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of the Dominican Republic, unless the parties agree to alternative dispute resolution.
